"About 15 years ago, I started mixing my own cosmetics, primarily to get my own skin problems under control. What I didn't realise at the time was that all my symptoms, such as dryness, inflammation and allergic reactions, were caused by a disrupted skin barrier, triggered by incorrect skincare and constant stress in my job as a journalist and TV producer at the time. In the end, only one thing helped: a completely natural, minimalist skincare regime. After years of research, I began to develop my own recipes and in 2014 I was awarded a book contract with GU Verlag for a natural cosmetics recipe book, which we called The Glow, and since then a lot has changed at The Glow, but what has remained is my passion for product development and the desire to help as many people as possible to improve their skin appearance with the help of natural ingredients."
